1 Corinthians 12:4-7
Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.
It is often hard to know where exactly and how exactly to get involved in a church. Beyond worship on Sunday morning, finding your next step can be challenging. But we hope to make things a little easier.
We recognize that each person enters into a church at a different place. Some have been burnt by past church involvement and others have only joyful memories. Some jump in while others need to take their time.
At FBC, we honor each person’s journey and hope that you seek out how God can use you at FBC. Whether this is through local service, the Sanctuary choir, a small group, giving to the church, serving as a worship leader or a Wednesday night mentor (and much more), we trust that God has a place for you to serve and to become connected at FBC.
To learn more about what God is up to you at FBC and how you can take part, please take a Sunday afternoon and have lunch with us at Exploring God at FBC. This is a class to learn more about who we are and what we believe.
We also invite you to talk to others – get to know some people. Grab a cup of coffee and meet the pastor among others during The Gathering time from 10:30–11:00am in Barker Hall.
Whatever the case, and whether it is at FBC or not, we trust that God has much for you to do. Just take the time to listen.
