Our vision provides us with inspiration, focus, and direction as we seek to discern God’s plan for us and for those around us – in our families, in our community, and in our world. These four areas, inspired from Biblical teachings, do indeed provide us with a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path.
We are a people called out and claimed by God’s love revealed in Jesus Christ. We are called to participate in the new life brought about by the events of Good Friday, Easter, and Pentecost. We gather gladly for worship in response to Christ’s triumph over the powers of sin and death.
We are called to embody God’s transforming love and grace within a celebrating community that rejoices in God’s life giving, forgiving, reconciling, and empowering love. We embrace members and friends of all ages, who are nurtured in the journey of faith, as disciples of the living Christ. Our discipleship is fostered in the fellowship of prayer, Bible study, Christian education, worship, communion, common meals, and the commitment to care for one another.
We are called to fulfill the promise, “You shall be my witnesses.” We aspire to be a beacon of hope to a troubled world and a light for all to see the transforming power of Jesus Christ in our lives. We are called to serve Christ in the least and forgotten of our world, giving witness to the mighty acts of God through our own acts of compassion and justice as empowered by the Spirit. With thankful hearts, we pledge to give generously to local and global missions. We affirm our commitment to be apostles who reach out to invite all people to participate in new life with Jesus Christ.
We are called to be a people of hope, celebrating always and everywhere the kingdom that is coming into the world, living and sharing the good news of God’s saving grace, serving all people in love.
We invite you to join us as we seek to live out our vision.
