Psalm 100:1
Make a joyful noise unto the Lord!
At FBC, we respond to Psalm 100’s invitation to “make a joyful noise unto the Lord” through our music in our worship services on Sunday and Wednesday.
We bring the gifts of music from many generations, backgrounds and traditions to our worship as a reflection of the many diversities in our congregation that are united in one Spirit in Christ Jesus. These gifts are facilitated by our skilled staff and volunteers who help make our worship services a rich expression of faith each week.
Our Adult Choir Director is Dr. Sharon Huff, who along with our Praise Team, organists, choirs, and other instrumentalists, all share their gifts of music through a wide variety of musical selections each and every Sunday. Music at FBC ranges from traditional pieces to lively gospel anthems, from Taize meditations to contemporary Praise songs.
The Praise Team leader Allison Benton leads us in praise songs and traditional hymns as part of a blended service.
Our Organist, Diane Russell, is an accomplished organist and pianist who has served in churches throughout her career. She enriches the music ministry of the church through her support of many of our songs, choir pieces, special musical offerings and through her conducting of our bell choir.
Our children and youth also share their musical talents on a regular basis during worship, as a part of the LOGOS Ministry.
If you play an instrument or enjoy singing and would like to share your gifts, there is a place for you in FBC’s music ministry! Please contact the church office for more information.
